I can't think of a better what to start off 2016 than an ADORABLE engagement session on the Chapel Hill campus of University of North Carolina. This was our first time shooting in Chapel Hill and we cannot wait to go back. Chapel Hill has an absolutely beautiful campus and there are just so many places that make the perfect backdrop for an engagement session. Our bride, being a UNC graduate, suggested the campus for the shoot. Me being a UCONN graduate I was unaware of all the history and traditions that are on campus We started off at the Old Well. For many years, it served as the sole water supply for the university. Today, passers-by can drink the marble water fountain that sits in the center. According to campus tradition, if you drink from the Old Well on the first day of classes it will bring good luck (or straight A's).
After hitting a few spots around the quad we headed over to the Arboretum. Now it was the beginning of January in NC, it was cold and this place was still stunning! I can't wait to see it in the spring when the Wisteria is in bloom throughout the covered walkway as well as all the other beautiful areas that will be flowering.
It may have been cold outside, but we had so much fun with Naadia and Jeff. We can't wait to capture their wedding in April at the beautiful Graylyn Estate in Winston-Salem. Another first for us. With Nouveau Events and Embellished Blooms on board is will no doubt be a STUNNING event.
