Julie & Thomas met on Match.com and their first date was an impromptu, 5-hour bar hopping adventure in downtown Durham. The first bar they had planned to meet at was dead, so Thomas randomly suggested they go to the roof at The Durham Hotel. The timing was perfect - they got drinks and grabbed a seat overlooking the city just as the sun was setting! From there they explored several other bars, listened to live music and had so much fun! So of course it is fitting that they bring their closet family and friends back the The Durham Hotel to celebrate on their wedding day and of course head up to the roof to catch another beautiful Downtown Durham sunset.
Through the entire day, there was nothing that could have hindered them from smiling and loving life to the fullest! One of my favorite moments was the foot washing during the ceremony at Northstar Church of the Arts. It was a beautiful and intimate moment and definitely something that they'll cherish for a lifetime. A foot washing is a sign of being humble thoughtful and willing to serve. The way Julie and Thomas chose to honor God not just in their wedding ceremony but in their marriage was very moving.
