STONEWALL FARMS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY by Raleigh Wedding Photographer AO&JO Photography & Videography
When we first met Rodney & Samantha we knew right away that they were our ideal clients. They understood the value of having a great photographer to capture the memories of their wedding day. Sam is an aspiring photographer as well so she knew what she wanted and it was definitely great photos. They were married at Stonewall Farms in Youngsville, NC. Stonewall Farm’s 50 acres are filled with rustic buildings, horses, a courtyard, and a lake view that is the perfect location for a storybook wedding. As a photographer we were of course in heaven. There were so many great photo ops during the portrait session after the ceremony we told Sam & Rodney that if they wanted to just skip the reception we were totally game to just take pics all night, lol. Their ceremony was in front of the lake with a gorgeous tree line as the backdrop. The reception was under the pavilion in the barn which was just perfect for a crisp October evening. Sam and Rodney were very lucky to be surrounded by such amazing friends and family. It seemed that every time they had a need for something to be done for the wedding they had someone that could step in and help out. From setting up the reception decor to the making the desserts to catering and the DJ...they had it all covered. Keep reading to learn a little bit more about the wedding day from Sam and Rodney themselves and of course see some more of their gorgeous wedding images.

When I asked Sam & Rodney what their favorite memory was from the whole day they both said it was when Sam was walking down the aisle to Rodney. Sam just had the biggest smile on her face as she watched Rodney praise God. It was definitely one of my favorite moments of the day as well.
There wedding represented the intertwining of both of their families. It was very special for them to have all of their close family and friends their to witness their marriage. In addition to doing a unity candle they braided a cord together with Ecclesiastes 4:12 "A cord of Three strands is not easily broken" written on it. I loved this. It was the first time I had scene something like this done and I think this is a perfect memento from the ceremony to hang in their home.
What was the inspiration of your wedding cake?
We both hate frosting on cake, and I wanted something like an apple pie type deal, so my friends mother was able to make that happen.
Sam was very excited about her special dance with her dad. Rather than a traditional father-daughter dance they danced to "The Hustle". As you can see from the look on Sam's face, they had a blast!!!
How will you describe the feeling you had on your wedding day to your children one day?
When I saw your mother at the other end of the aisle and every thought that i had, along with the stress that I was feeling it all went out the window, and I realized that there was nothing more beautiful in this world than her. Seeing her down the aisle was like seeing her for the first time, but 10x as much beauty.
Now that your wedding is done, tell us something that all those Brides-to-be out there should know.
Spend the little extra money on a planner, and take the time to explore all of your options when planning. Don't settle unless you are compromising with your partner. And don't forget the love that you two share while planning, because it can be very stressful times for you both.
