Pakistani weddings are full of vibrant color and consist of glamorous celebrations and Naadia and Jeff's Pakistani-American multicultural wedding celebration was no different. As soon as the night started at the Benton Convention Center we knew that all of their guests were in the mood for a party. Naadia's four sisters and all of her cousins performed some beautiful dances. Once all of the cousins were done, Naadia's sisters and their husbands brought Jeff and Naadia out to the floor to join in on the fun. After the dances all of the guests were invited up to the stage where charity is given to protect against evil by circling money three times on the Naadia's head. Guests were also invited to feed both Jeff and Naadia sweets. After all of the ceremonial parts of the night were completed the dance floor was opened up and saying that they guests were in the mood to party would be an understatement. It was such a fun fun evening!! I am not sure that they would have stopped dancing if the venue hadn't turned the lights on.
It was hard to believe that this was only day one of a two day weekend. As our team walked back to our hotel room for the night we weren't sure we were going to be able to get any sleep cause we were so excited for the big party on Saturday after this AMAZING "pre-party" on Friday!
