DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE
Obviously we hope that our work speaks for itself, but we would describe our approach as relaxed and natural; capturing moments as they unfold. If you watch our films, I hope you will see that every wedding is completely unique to the two people getting married. We don't impose a style on all of our weddings. It's so important to us that your film embodies who you are as people, and what the day was about...an honest reflection of the best and most memorable moments that you will watch over and over again for many years to come.
DO WE PICK THE MUSIC OURSELVES?
The music is such a massive part of how we tell your story and we often spend as much time finding the right tracks as we do editing your film. We want to choose something that is unique to the both of you, and that communicates the story of your day.
All of our music is licensed as we feel it’s very important to support the wider creative community, but we’d love to have a chat with you about the sort of stuff you listen to.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
We are based in the Raleigh, NC, but love to travel – nationally and internationally.
DO YOU CHARGE TRAVEL OR FOR MULTIPLE LOCATIONS?Every wedding day is unique and some have more locations than other so we don’t discriminate that or charge travel for it. If your wedding is more than 60 miles from Raleigh, NC then travel fees may apply but are evaluated on a case by case basis. We love to travel and we love being a part of weddings everywhere.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
After being in the industry for several years, we consider our equipment top-of-the-line. Without getting into nerdy specifics, our cameras are small enough to be inconspicuous and powerful enough to capture high quality color and clarity.
WHAT DO YOU WEAR?
We try out best to blend in but not look like we’re attending a funeral. Mostly dress pants and a blouse or a dress along with cute but comfy shoes.
HOW LONG WILL YOU BE AT MY WEDDING?
That depends on the amount of coverage purchased through the packages. In general, we arrive 2-3 hours prior to your ceremony and stay until after the last major event at your reception. A typical wedding day needs about 8 hours of coverage, maybe more if you are planning any special events prior to the ceremony, have a special exit or there is travel involved.
HOW DO YOU CAPTURE SOUND?
We put a small mic on the groom and officiant during the ceremony. If the dress allows we will also place a small mic that will not be seen on the bride as well. During the reception, we plug into the DJ's system. (Confirm with your DJ if you want to be sure!) We always have a backup mic during the ceremony and reception.
DO YOU WORK WELL WITH OTHER VENDORS?
We pride ourselves in having awesome relationships with vendors we've worked with. Being that we offer both Photo and Video services we have a keen insight into both sides so we find that we work with other photographers. Photo and video have to work well alongside one another, and we make sure we do our part.
HOW LONG DO OUR FILMS TAKE AFTER THE WEDDING?
We know how eager you are to see everything we’ve captured, depending on the time of year, we aim to have films completed between 2-4 months after your wedding. The editing process takes time to perfect and because each film is hand-crafted to tell your unique story we really don’t like to rush this part. Not fast enough? You can get expedited editing as an add-on!
HOW WILL WE RECEIVE YOUR FILM?
This depends on which package that you choose. Your film will either come on a custom USB or it will be made available to you through a digital download. We will post your film to our Facebook page and Vimeo.com, where you can share it with friends and family and post online.
HOW CAN WE KEEP IN TOUCH WITH YOU?
We generally keep in touch via email, but hopefully we’ll also get the opportunity to catch up face to face. If logistics don’t allow for this, then we can chat over the phone and Skype/Facetime and you’ll also have our mobile numbers so feel free to text with any questions or queries after you’ve booked.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
The sooner the better. Right now couples are typically booking us 9-12 months out from their wedding day, but if your wedding is in one of the prime times of the year like May or October here in North Carolina you may want to book earlier to ensure we are available.
HOW DO WE GO ABOUT BOOKING?
Once you’ve made the decision to book us (yay!) and which package you would like, we’ll send through the quote and contract with all the details. Then from there, you just need to forward the deposit, accept the quote, sign the contract electronically and we’re all set to go!
