Tina & Ian's Engagement Session l Bond Park Cary, NC l Raleigh, NC Wedding Photographer

February 1, 2015

We met Tina & Ian at our first bridal show we attended with Forever Bridal back in August of 2013.  Since the show we have captured their hand-fasting ceremony that they did a year and a day prior to their wedding date to show their commitment to one another in front of their closest friends and family.  We are very excited about their wedding in May not only because we have gotten to know them over the past year but because it will be our first wedding at the beach!  Hopefully May at the beach will be a little warmer than it was on this Saturday afternoon in January in Cary.

Once thing we love is when a couple takes the time to tell us their story.  In everything we do for our couple we try and put as much of them and their personalities into it.  So when Tina and Ian told us their first official date was at Bond Park in Cary feeding the ducks we thought their would be no better place to do their engagement session.  So not only did we get to spend some time with our couple taking some great images but the entire time we were there they were reminiscing about their first time at the park letting us get to know them and their story even more.

When we do an engagement session we always try and get some nice shots of the engagement ring so that the couple can show off that new bling they have.  Well since Ian has a Scottish background he already has his ring and is wearing it.  It is Celtic tradition for the man to wear the ring on the right hand during the engagement and then move it to the left hand after the wedding.  I absolutely love this shot I got of their rings on some moss on a tree stump next to the water.  Definitly one of my favorite rings shots to date.
