So I absolutley LOVE what I do. I LOVE being a photgrapher, I LOVE being a wedding photographer even more. It feels so good to be the person that people rely on to capture their special moments of their life be it a maternity session, a private party, the birth of their child or a wedding. Photos have been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. The number of old school photo albums I have is actually quite ridiculous.
That being said, there is nothing more frustrating than bridal sessions. Not because any bride I have ever worked with has been a diva or a bridezilla, but because I have these BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING images that I cannot share with ANYONE until after the wedding.
And this weekend was the WORST! We went to Washington DC to do Toyia's bridal session in downtown DC around all of the monuments. We went to the Lincoln Memorial, Reflection Pond, the MLK Memorial, the DC War Memorial and even made a stop by the Obama residence. There were even still a few of the cherry trees still in blossom. The photos are AMAZING and the trip was AMAZING!
Not alot of people know this about me, but I am a BIG NERD. I love history and being in Washington DC around all the memorials and standing in places where American history was made gave me chills. Adrian and Toyia were laughing at me because the night before I couldn't even sleep I was so excited to be in DC and to be photographing such a beautiful bride against such beautiful landscapes. I CANNOT wait to share these images with you all in July!!
